ProFlowers review in Escondido, California: Pro Flowers

I ordered flowers for my daughter for Valentine's Day, she is away at college and feeling sad. Pro Flowers had a special bouquet for 24.99 with 4.99 shipping. Upon entering my credit card, I was charged $52.76 for this order!! They tacked on an extra 9.98 shipping, charged 6.99 for a "free" vase, 2.99 handling and tax. I was told there was no way to cancel this order. Do Not use this service! It cost me twice the amount of the flowers for this delivery!!! The refund policy is ridiculous, they did agree to refund 4.99 of the shipping (keeping it still at twice the advertised price) and 6.99 for the vase, I have to wait 5-10 business days for the $12 refund to my card, even though they haven't even processed the order!

Proflowers a big SCAM!!!

i put in an order online and come to find out after check out that i was being charged twice for delivery. mind you that they didnt show the total amount including shipping after i paid for it with my credit card. THey will mislead you that you are only spending 30 bucks for a set of flowers and will not inform you that they will charge you twice for delivery and all of their hidden charges after you pay for it. i called the customer service and they said that they cant help me nor im not allowed to cancel my order. I suggest everyone to stay away from them!

I never ordered because they were going to charge me $40 in shipping/delivery charges, what a joke!! The arrangement I was going to buy was only $39.

All charges will be itemized and displayed prior to any order being confirmed. And you will never be charged more than once for shipping on a single item; we simply break the shipping charges down if there are any surcharges over the standard rates for things such as early morning, weekend, or guaranteed holiday deliveries, for example. The itemized breakdown's placement on the form after the credit card information is simply a function of how the order process works. But no authorization or other communication of sale is placed on your card until the order is confirmed on the following page.

Like others have said - very sneaky. They advertise $19.99, then add a $10 for delivery, and $5 for guaranteed on date delivery, and then a $3 "care and handling" fee.

You won't see this until you are about to pay - after you put in your CC#.

ProFlowers review in Stockton, California: This is mora than a scam, it is dishonest

Bought a couple of dozen roses for Valentines at "$19.99 each" and when you hit the "add to cart" it still shows the same price but AFTER you process your payment THEN you find out your total is $43.00 per dozen! This is beyond scam, this is plain dishonesty! Any reputable company would show all the charges BEFORE you pay and then let you decide whether to want to go ahead with the order or not. Shame on Proflowers and shame on all the TV and radio hosts that promote it! For that amount of money I could have bought the same roses and take them out for diner too!

They DO show the total with shipping and handling BEFORE you purchase. You are the one who just clicked clicked clicked and then confirmed and THEN you decided it wasn't a good deal after paying. Again: they DO show you the total and all charges before confirming the purchase and charging you.

You failed and the other poster failed even more; at least he admits that it shows you the total before checkout is finalized.

Same thing happened to me. All along you see 19.99 then at check out they've added 15 delivery, 4.99 guaranteed val day delivery 4 care and handling and tax.

Luckily I caught it before hitting confirm. A waste of time.

I agree with the other 296 complaints Proflowers are misleading customers.. You get to the last page of checkout and your price is double. I just wanted to order some Valintines flowers for the advertised price of 29.00 and it turned into 68.00 @ checkout. I understand that there are taxes and del. charges but come on!!! i will not purchase anything from a company that does that type of misleading advertisement. I got to the last page of checkout and felt like i had just been taken in by the old bait and switch game! but i didnt take the bait.

I ordered flowers that were advertised for 19.99 and with all charges which included a vase that was free that ended up costing 7.95 costing me 49.95 total with all handling and special shipping charges. Stay away customer service is a waste of time. I have sent 3 e-mails to customer service and just get no answers to me questions. Whatever you do do not use a debit card it limits your options for disputing the charges always use a credit card. Used a code from the George Norey show which did nothing for me maybe for George.

Jimbo, you are wrong. The $14 flat rate you describe from another website is the "hidden" charges.

They are hidden under the name "flat rate". At least proflowers tells you what the charges are for. And you are welcome to use the other service.

Funny how you didn't before. Wonder why that is.

Proflowers and their hidden charges

My wife is in the Navy Reserve and has been mobilized for 9 months to Hawaii (yeah, I know, tough duty) but she spent last year in a *** hole in Djibouti, Africa, so I thought she deserved it. I wanted to send her some flowers for Valentine's Day, the second one we're not together for. So I went to Proflowers with whom I've done business before, but obviously not for some time. If found some roses with a free vase for $39.99. Since it's the 11th and I wanted them delivered on Monday, the 13th, the hit for another $4.99 delivery charge (on top of "standard" delivery). Well at checkout here's what I ended up paying: Hugs and Kisses with Free Ruby Vase $39.99 (on sale from the regular $59.99) Elegant Ruby Vase: Included! Standard Delivery $9.99 Monday Delivery $4.99 Alaska/Hawaii Delivery $19.99 Care & Handling $2.99 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOTAL: $77.95 So, my $40 roses (with free vase) ended up costing me almost DOUBLE. Needless to say, I won't be doing business with this clip joint again.
