Extra Costs Added On at Checkout, and Discount Not Applied

First I clicked on the 15% order discount for orders over $39.00. Then I proceeded to setup the flower order. There was, because of Valentines Day, a $9.99 delivery charge, which I agreed to. After placing the order I noticed that I was paying 2 delivery charges, $14.99 for standard delivery, and $9.99 extra charge. I had foolishly assumed that the fees I saw when reviewing the order included the 'standard' delivery charge. I also noticed that there was no 15% discount on the order. So, I experienced a bit of sticker shock, and decided to change the delivery date to Saturday, February 11th. The agent said that this could be done, but Proflowers would charge me again for the entire order, less the $9.99, and should reverse the original charge within 10 business days. Not trusting Proflowers on that, I told him to just leave the order as is. I then asked about the 15% discount, and his response was that the arrangement was $29.99 not the required $39.99. I then said that the order also included a vase for $14.99, bring the pre fee and tax order to $44.98. He would not recognize the full order amount, so I gave up, again. Bottom line, I was totally frustrated with Proflower some years ago, and had discontinued using the service. I will now PERMANENTLY remove Proflowers.

ProFlowers did not deliver Valentine's day flowers

Pro Flowers did not deliver Valentine's day flowers. I ordered a week in advance, gave them a two day window to deliver, (13-14 February, at their request), and they did not deliver. They say, 9when they answer the phones that is), that they are holding the flowers for me to go pick them up at a FedEx location outside the city. What would be the point of ordering flowers online if you want to go pick them up? Not sure if they are even going to refund my money, cuz they have stopped answering the phone on their biggest day of the year. When they do answer their phones, the call center is in India, and it is nearly impossible to understand what the operators are trying to convey. This company is horrible

WORST FLOWERS EVER

I carefully selected what I thought was to be a beautiful gift. They were delivered today to someone who is mourning the one-year death of someone that they love dearly. IN NO WAY DOES THIS LOOK remotely like what I ordered, at all. I feel mislead and cheated. Half the blooms are half dead, the box was dented, and to add insult to injury, the price that I was quoted was jacked up by over $20 once I authorized my card. I don't have a lot of money. But I wanted to do something special for someone that I love who is really struggling. Instead of this being a beautiful arrangement, I'm a victim I believe, a false advertising and a bait-and-switch technique. Hidden fees are garbage and dishonest. I will never recommend this service to anyone. I also feel as though as I am entitled to a full refund. I can't even begin to tell you how heartbroken this company has made me. I hope you don't do this to other people.

HORRIBLE!!! Deceptive advertising!

Ordered a Sympathy Plant arrangement with an angel and plants in a lovely white wooden box painted saying Faith, Hope and Love with a dove. Instead, my friend received 4 individual plants in green plastic containers, like the kind they sell at H.D. for $2.99 with an angel on a stick stuck in one pot. Is she supposed to make her own arrangement while she is mourning the loss of her mother? I will see how they respond. Also, I was told this would be same day delivery - it took 2 days. I wrote them that I want a full refund. If I do not receive it, I will contest payment through PayPal. $80 for this! This Company is a scam and should be shut down! Most unhappy!

Nothing Delivered No Plan To Tell Us

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We ordered flowers for my mother in laws 70th birthday. I checked throughout the day to find out if they had been delivered, when I still hadn't received anything by 5pm, I tried their chat which led me to a call. I was told they were not going to deliver. I asked when they were planning on telling me this and when they knew. I was essentially told their system is not set up to alert them to be able to tell their customers. So, they fraudulently claim to do Same Day deliveries, but are not set up to guarantee this because if they can't get a florist they don't have checks and balances set up to tell you it isn't getting delivered, nor do they even refund you without you contacting them. Stealing much? I was told they would send a bouquet to my mother in law even after they refunded us. The bouquet was one of the most hideous floral arrangements I have ever seen. We had purposely chosen something with no lilies as my in laws are both allergic, it was mainly lilies. So disappointing all around. Avoid this company!!!

Cons:
  • False advertising
  • Stealing by not refunding for no service until you contact them
  • Poor customer service
Reason of review:
Poor customer service, no delivery, no contact to tell us it wouldn't be delivered

Preferred solution: Stop advertising same day deliveries when they have no way to guarantee this service (per a manager).

Proflowers Delivery Service Review

Ordered 2 dozen roses for valentines on Friday at 2pm and here it is 7:30pm Tuesday(valentines) and still no flowers. Paid $30 for shipping and handling. Could have paid another $15 for early delivery but why when there was plenty of time? Just more money they wanted. They already added more than enough for delivery. Never again Proflowers

Didn't deliver anything

fyi--this is several years ago but I ordered a lovely centerpiece flower arrangement for Easter for a sister who lives in another state. She is one who always calls with a Big Thank You whenever I send her something. Well when we talked on Easter and she didn't mention the flowers, I had to politely ask her if she received anything at the end of our conversation. She said, no, nothing had arrived. How disappointing. When I called ProFlowers, they apologized and gave me a refund but I won't use them again. Not dependable. I often send flowers or candy to family members in other cities and have good service from other providers. No need to be disappointed using these people.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER IN ANY INDUSTRY! EVEN CABLE!!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
To whom it may concern, I am a 29 year old mother of 2. Let me start off by saying that I usually use FTD for my flower deliveries. I decided to give you guys a try this year through the recommendation of a co-workers. WORST CHOICE EVER! I have never taken the time to write a business a letter off discontent until today. Your service has been so HORRENDOUS that I have decided to take the time out of my day to send this email. I have never seen a company have such a blatant disregard for its paying customers, quite frankly its DISGUSTING and you should be out of business. On Friday, May 6th, I placed two orders to be delivered ON MOTHER'S DAY, SUNDAY MAY 8TH to both my mother and mother-in-law in Florida. When I placed the order for my mother-in-law, I was given the option to include an electronic greeting card. I was NOT given the same option for my mother's bouquet. On Saturday, May 7th, I decided to call your customer service to see if I could be emailed a link to send the electronic greeting card to my mother as well. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes, I was able to reach a representative that clearly was not in the United States. They did not understand what I was requesting, so they transferred me to someone in the United States. After waiting on hold for ONE HOUR, I was finally connected to an American representative, only for them to tell me that the electronic greeting card was not available for the bouquet I sent. So I pose you these two questions: 1. Why do you not have a standardized set of offerings? 2. Why in the world did I need to wait on hold for an ENTIRE HOUR for a second representative to tell me it was not available. Why couldn't the first representative tell me this? If you are going to outsource your call centers, you should make sure that they are equip and able to hand customer service questions. Not just transfer your paying customers somewhere else. Oh but wait...that issue is MEANINGLESS compared to what happened next. It gets SO MUCH WORSE. On Sunday May 8th, my mother DID NOT receive her mother's day bouquet of sunflowers that I spent NINETY ONE DOLLARS ON. Around 9:15pm MST I called your customer service to find out why the delivery was never made. I was told by the representative that the florist ran out of the flowers that I ordered. So now I pose these questions: 1. Why did I not receive a courtesy call explaining that the florist ran out of flowers? 2. Why was I not given another bouquet option BEFORE the end of mother's day? 3. Why did I have to be the one to call in about a service that YOU did not deliver? So the representative gave me the option to have the flowers delivered on Monday, May 9th. I was EXTREMELY CLEAR that I did not want the flowers delivered the next day, and that I just wanted my refund. He apologized for the inconvenience and told me that he processed my return. IT GETS MUCH MUCH WORSE...... When I woke up this morning, I found it odd that I had not received a confirmation email of my refund. So I called your customer service to confirm that the refund was processed. To my surprise, THE ORDER WAS IN FACT NOT REFUNDED. Instead, this representative placed the order for the flowers to be delivered today and issued a $25 gift card to my email. COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR MY CLEAR REQUEST. YOUR COMPANY SHOULD BE ASHAMED. To make matters worse, the service representative who had to break this horrible news to me also informed me that she COULD NOT refund me my money because it was a FLORIST ORDER. WHAT THE DOES THAT MEAN? When I placed the order, I placed it at proflowers.com. NOT A LOCAL FLORIST. PROFLOWERS.COM SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SERVICE EXPERIENCE OF THEIR PAYING CUSTOMERS. When I was given this ridiculous answer, I became even more FURIOUS. She put me on hold and told me that she was going to have to transfer me to the florist department. BUT GUESS WHAT???? I NEVER WAS TRANSFERRED. I was put on hold and the call was dropped. I was on a LAND LINE, not a cell phone, so I know it was not me who dropped the call. Sooo, I called back again. This time, when the service rep answered, I asked to speak to a manager immediately. She of course asked me what was going. When I explained to her, she told me that she could processes the return. So I asked her why she could processes it and the representative before her couldn't? She said that she couldn't speak for the other representative, but all she had to do was pull up her application and process the return. So I waited for her to pull up her application and I gave her the information she requested. Please keep in mind, that I had ALREADY EXPLAINED TO HER THE THE PREVIOUS REPRESENTATIVE TOLD ME THAT SHE COULD NOT PROCESS THE RETURN BECAUSE IT WAS A FLORIST ORDER. Well, when this representative finally got her application up, she told me that she could process it because it was indeed a florist order. WHAT???? I JUST TOLD THIS WOMAN THAT THE REP BEFORE HER TOLD ME THAT. SO SHE MADE ME WAIT FOR HER TO PULL UP HER DAMN APPLICATION TO TELL ME THAT SAME EXACT THING THAT I JUST TOLD HER!!! So this woman, named Melissa BTW, told me that she would have to transfer me to the florist department. Upon finally being transferred, I discover that I am transferred to a department OVERSEAS! I tell the representative to put a manager on the line immediately. He asks me for my order number and I refuse to give it to him. I insist that he puts a manager on the line. He puts me on hold an guess what happens... THE CALL DROPS AGAIN WHILE I AM ON A LAND LINE!!! What is REALLY happening is that YOUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE HANGING UP ON ME!!! So I take a deep breath and I dial your customer service number for what FEELS LIKE THE 50TH TIME. Once again I am routed to an overseas representative. Once again I immediately ask for a manager. The representative asks for my order number and I refuse to give it to him. I tell him I will provide it to the manager once he or she gets on the line. He puts my on hold, then comes back on the line and tells me that his supervisor will not come on unless I provide the order number first. So I told him to give me the managers name and ID number so that I could report this manager for not coming to the line. He put me on hold, then he came back and said that he was going to transfer me. WHY DID I NEED TO THREATEN TO REPORT THE MANAGER IN ORDER FOR HER TO COME TO THE LINE? RIDICULOUS!! Finally the supervisor comes on the line. I explain the entire situation to her. She explains to me that she is going to put me on hold, contact the florist department to issue the refund then provide me with confirmation. She was able to do all of this WITHIN 5 MINUTES!!!!! SO I ASK YOU THIS FINAL QUESTION...WHY IN THE WORLD DID I HAVE TO CALL SO MANY TIMES AND BE GIVEN THE RUN AROUND BY SEVERAL AMERICAN REPRESENTATIVES FOR SOMETHING THAT AN OVERSEAS REP WAS ABLE TO DO IN FIVE MINUTES??? Once again, I would like to make clear that never in MY LIFE have I taken the time to write an email like this to a business. This has been BY FAR the WORST customer service experience I have ever had across ALL INDUSTRIES, EVEN THE CABLE INDUSTRY. I don't even understand how you guys are still in business. I wouldn't be surprised if your company goes under in the coming years. Disgruntled ex-customer, Ariane Voigt 954-662-**** PS. YOU DON'T CARE, SO YOU SHOULD CHANGE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE EMAIL ADDRESS. EXTREMELY MISLEADING!!!

I spent $100 to send flowers to my friend in the hospital with kidney failure, and she took a photo and showed me what she received and the photo she sent back looked so cheap, I was so embarrassed. I could have picked a better arrangement from using dandelions. So I tried reaching out to them twice and got no response what so ever. What a huge waste of money and embarrassment on my part. I will never, ever use this company again. They should be reported to someone who can shut them down. RUN FAR, FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

Posted my review to Facebook: Friends and family, as many of you know I used to use proflowers to send arrangements and gifts but I just had an experience that made me go from a 15+ year customer to writing this status! A very dear friend (and former employer's) father recently passed.

When her mother had passed, I sent a gift card for a plant/tree, which is thriving in her yard. When her father passed, I wanted to send a plant/tree so she could have memorial plants for both of her parents, in her yard. I ordered a planter with proflowers (which I'll show in the comments) and they send an orchid. You can't plant an orchid.

So I called and explained. They wanted to come PICK UP the FUNERAL orchid to re-deliver a planter. Are you kidding me?! I went three supervisors high to find out, yep, that's all.

Or a partial refund. So they wanted me to ask my former employer to miss work so they could pick up their mistake, which happens to be flowers for her deceased father? Never!

Never again will I use proflowers and I highly recommend anyone else think twice. Get some class, people.

I am beyond upset! I placed an order on 11/12/16. I paid extra for weekend delivery only to find out almost 24 hours later (after I received a confirmation email) that my delivery wouldn't take place until the following day. I immediately called customer service (for lack of a better word) and was assured by a Rep that he was able to find a florist that could make a Sunday delivery. A few hours pass with no email del confirmation so I placed yet another call . I got a different rep this time who apologized and stated that my delivery wouldn't be made until 2 days later. She even called my sister to apologize and assume full responsibility on behalf of the company. She even offered to refund my weekend charge and add strawberries to my order. I called again the following day to track my order and now on Monday they can't find a florist that can make my arrangement. It was a classic bait and switch, and I am out $98 because I paid with a non-reloadable CC. I am PISSED!

Flowers NEVER DELIVERED

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I ordered flowers for someone's birthday for next day delivery and paid extra for morning delivery. The flowers were never delivered to the recipient. After calling the customer service, I was told that the flowers must have been given to the wrong person. Not only was THAT bad enough, I was then offered re-delivery FIVE days later(!?). Who needs a birthday gift 5 days later? The best they could do was offer me a refund but now my birthday present is completely ruined. Terrible and unacceptable. Will never do business with them again and will make sure to tell everyone about this scam of a company.
