UN-ProFlowers delivered a piece of scrapyard junk to my Mum!

It is appalling what ProFlowers delivered to my mum especially considering it was meant to commemorate the anniversary of the passing of my grandfather. The watering can shown on website is pastel cheery yellow one, much finer and daintier than the piece of scrapyard junk you sent to my mum as pictured - both shown here for comparison. I will think twice about ordering anything else from ProFlowers or ProPlants FOR SURE!!!! The glorified photo of what I thought I ordered turned out to be the most horrific misrepresentation and disaster especially considering the sentimental significance of this order!!

Old bad flowers

Delivered Bad flowers and on complain they sent the replacement order which was bad again; they say discount but then charge you multiple times in different ways hiking up the cost to more than reasonable; don't know how they got JD power..... JD power should re assess them and take back their reward / title. else JD power itself will lose it's credit for giving it to just any worthless *** also proflowers keeps on sending these useless promotional e-mails and do not stop it even after requesting for the same. worst flower people ever. flowers are mean to make us happy and not pissed.

Worst flowers ever!

I ordered a funeral arrangement from this sleazy outfit. $275 and they sent what should have been a cross but was missing a limb. The flowers were wilted and almost dead. I was embarrassed and shocked by the condition. Someone actually had the nerve to let it out the door. This is not just bad service, it's criminal. Of course, I contacted them via email. They never responded. This is not the first time I had a problem with this company. The last time it was simply a small bouquet, less than $100, this time it was really stealing on their part.

I thought I'd try Proflowers, because FTD always seemed kind of pricey. In fact, when I checked later, the base price for my order (18 roses) was the same at both, but Proflowers had so many more hidden charges (vase, card, "care and handling") that it ended up being $15 *more* than FTD.

So what started as $49 was $99 by the time I was done!I could have forgiven that, but the quality was terrible. I *guess* there were 18 roses, but only about 10 were of decent size. The rest were tiny buds that were lost in the sloppily arranged baby's breath, and they all wilted before they ever bloomed. It looked nothing at all like the picture.

I've attached both the picture at the website and the vase as delivered. They sent me a feedback link, to which I gave a very detailed complaint, and never heard anything back.I've learned my lesson. Pricey or not, I've never had a bad experience with FTD, and will stick with them in the future.

FTD OWNS PROFLOWERS.COM

FTD bought Proflowers in 2014, well after this was written. Before that, they were separate companies, and in fact, FTD had previously sued Proflowers for false advertising.

Maybe they've improved, but when I used them, their delivery as totally different. FTD used floral delivery services, while Proflowers - I'm not making this up - delivered the flowers in a FedEx box.

Sad, sad flowers

I received a dozen red roses today at work from Proflowers. While I was thrilled to get flowers, these are the saddest looking little roses I have ever seen. They look like the ones the "real florists" throw away. Wal-Mart flowers are prettier than these and a heck of a better deal. Nice big glass vase with teeny little flowers. Of course I will tell the sender how wonderful they are but I am now convinced you should but from a reputable florist. Pre-internet companies like FTD and Tele-flora would be shaking in their boots. They don't ship them from who-knows-where but has a local florist arrange and deliver the flowers so they are fresh and have to meet a certain standard. These might last 2 days. The dozen yellow roses I got last year were three times the size, lasted 3 weeks and cost about the same. Tsk tsk.

Arrangement from ***!!!!!

ProFlowers - Arrangement from ***!!!!!
I ORDERED AN ARRANGEMENT FOR MOTHERS DAY FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT WOMAN IN MY LIFE, MY MOTHER. WHEN I CAME HOME AND SAW THE HORRENDOUS ARRANGEMENT MY MOTHER RECEIVED, I WAS IMMEDIATELY DISAPPOINTED AND INCOMPLETE DISBELIEF. THIS ARRANGEMENT SHE RECEIVED LOOKS NOTHING LIKE THE ONE I ORDERED. I WILL MAKE SURE MY FAMILY, FRIENDS, AND COLLEAGUES KNOW WHAT A DISTASTEFUL AND DISHONEST BUSINESS PROFLOWERS HAS. LOOK AT THE PICTURE I ATTACHED, THE ARRANGEMENT I RECEIVED LOOKS LIKE I BOUGHT IT OFF THE FREEWAY AND THOSE LOOK NICER THAN THE ONES MY MOTHER RECEIVED. I WAS SO EMBARRASSED AND SO PISSED!

Funeral Flowers NOT Delivered

I was traveling to my Mother In Law's funeral of which is what I ordered the flowers for. I ordered them through Florist Express because of the ease during this travel and grief and because they guarantee... I spent nearly $300 on three flowers. 30 minutes before the funeral i received a call stating they would not be able to deliver ANY! I was floored at the inability to provide customer service as well as the non-existence of their guarantee. I was able to get two of the three flowers delivered within moments of the service starting, but the third most important flower were never delivered. They suggested that I have it delivered to the family home. What would that do for me??? It was ordered for the service. It wouldn’t have even made it to the burial. I am appalled that your company would treat a family processing through such a time of immense grief with disregard. I will not recommend ProFlowers to anyone and I intend to start a very wide Social Media Campaign to make sure anyone I know, or knows people I know, will go out of their way to use someone else! What could be worse then funeral flowers not being delivered..... Only a wedding. UGH!

Mother's Day/Birthday a Bummer!

My adult kids love to show their love and appreciation for me for my special day - my birthday and Mother's Day on the same day. This year they sent me 12 roses from ProFlowers. The packaged was delivered from CA to AZ via UPS. I opened them and followed the enclosed directions to the "T". The next day 5 of the 12 roses never even opened and bent over. Within the next two days all of the roses were dead. I called ProFlowers and they apologized and said they would send another bunch. I was going on vacation the next day so I delayed the sending until I returned. Almost the same thing happened again but this time one of the flowers did actual open. NONE of the flowers had a scent of a rose. I don't know how you can grow such poor quality roses - no scent and so skimpy - not many petals. I guess I could have called again and complained and would keep getting dead roses, but I thought twice was enough! I recommend NEVER USING THIS SERVICE for any occasion - it's not worth the money you spend. At least I got the sentiment out of the thought of sending me flowers for my special day!

Waste of Money: Worst Looking Flowers Ever!

ProFlowers - Waste of Money: Worst Looking Flowers Ever!
ProFlowers - Waste of Money: Worst Looking Flowers Ever! - Image 2

I go to college and wanted to surprise my mom with flowers since my dad is out of the country until next month. Since I rarely get to go back home to see her, I decided to buy flowers online and have them sent to her job instead of asking a friend from my hometown to do it for me. I saw an offer from Proflowers on LivingSocial for $15 for $30 and was skeptical, but I figured the 29,000 other people who had purchased the deal couldn't all be wrong. 30 sweetheart tulips for $39.97, glass vase for $9.99, delivery for $14.99 (extra charges if you want it on the 14th, but I was fine with the 13th), and tax all added up to $72. A tad pricy, but anything for my mom.

My mom texted me today, telling me she loved me and appreciated the thought. She also asked me how much the flowers cost, which I thought was a strange thing to ask. My sister then texted me "Mom got the flowers! But why are they so droopy and full of leaves? :(" so I asked her to send me a picture. I can't express how disappointed I was with them. They looked absolutely nothing like the advertisement! There were only 25 tulips, not 30 as I had ordered, and all of them were droopy. There were so many oversized leaves that it looked like I had ordered a house plant instead of pretty tulips. The vase came separately from the flowers, which was unbelievable because every other company I've ever ordered from has delivered them as a complete package. My mom worked as a florist a few years back, and even with her skills, that was as pretty as she could get the bouquet to look.

Incredibly false advertisement, not to mention they cheated me out of 5 flowers! Do they not care about satisfying customers to get them to come back and re-order from them? I understand now why they had to put a special offer on LivingSocial - so that they could trick naive people like me into giving them our business. We obviously only buy flowers for people we truly care most about, and to have it be a negative experience really takes away from the special moment. Such a disappointment! Please trust me when I tell you to stay away from Proflowers!

What a dissapointment. I had flowers delivered to my wife to whom I really love and want to impress , she was at work.

I didn't reciece a call from her as expected so I called. She told me that after class they called her to the recption desk that she had a PACKAGE. She opened it in front of her friends and saw some flowers that are days from blooming that she had to arrainge herself. Of course she is trying to make me feel bette3r by saying it is the thought that counts, (that is code for it's a *** gift) these people should be embarrassed.

I bet ther not. Joe

ProFlowers had two chances to get it right. FAIL!!!

ProFlowers had two chances to get it right. FAIL!!!

My daughter sent me flowers I had picked out for Mother's Day. I was so excited for them, as they were beautiful in the photo on their website.

They arrived. They looked like ***. They did refund her money, and offered to resend them to me. They could not guarantee they would look like the photo, so I picked another bouquet.

It arrived a week and two days AFTER Mother's day. It, too, was *** Half of the buds were already blooming, the others were not. It looked nothing like the advertised photo, just like the first one did not look like what was advertised, either. I called in and was very upset.

This was just on Friday the 24th. I escalated the call to a supervisor. Corinne said none was available. they would have him call me within 24 to 48 hours.

It is over that time. I have heard from no one.

Now, less than a week later, and the bouquets are guaranteed for seven days, the unopened buds have fallen off and are laying all over my table.

Ordered a Flower Arrangement - Got a plant with Fake Flowers in it

One of our employees had a death in the family and we ordered a flower arrangement from ProFlowers. They called me the day of the delivery to see if they could switch it to a plant instead of the flowers. I said No, I didnt order a plant, I didnt want a plant I wanted the flowers that I had ordered. Today when my employee gets back to work she brings a thank you card for the plant. I was really upset and apologized to her as it was suppose to be flowers and she then tells me that the plant also had fake flowers stuck in to the plant. I am beyond shocked and livid that they would think that this is okay. When I called them they said sorry for the inconvenience and we can give you 50% off your next order. I explained that I would not be using their services again and that a 50% discount would not do any good. PLEASE do not use ProFlowers unless you dislike the person you are sending flowers to or the way they look makes no difference to you.

Hidden Fees at Proflowers

I just submitted my online order with proflowers.com and I was unpleasantly surprised. I had seen a special on Mother's Day flowers for $19.99 - quite a deal, right? So I went ahead with it. Throughout the checkout process I am seeing that shipping is $5, and a personalized greeting card is an additional $3...I raised an eyebrow but kept going. I keep clicking through the stages, expecting to eventually be shown a summary of my order before I submit...then suddenly I enter my billing information, click continue and 'Thank you! Your order has been confirmed' 'What order?' I have to wonder. It turned out I was being charged two shipping fees - one 'standard' ($13) and one 'guaranteed' ($5) - as well as a $3 fee for "Care & Handling." This is in addition to the card fee, and all applicable taxes. My total order came to over $48. (Another reviewer made a great point about the redundancy of a 'Care & Handling' fee. Doesn't care and handling essentially mean the packers and delivery people doing their jobs responsibly? Why should there be a fee attached to that? When I go to McDonald's do I have to pay additional fees to keep my server from dropping my fries on the floor? The whole idea is strange.) I got a customer service rep on the phone within seconds of reaching the Thank You page. I asked the operator to cancel my order so I could start over but she said it wasn't possible, and that my order was already processed (I had just clicked 'okay' 45 seconds earlier!). When I tried again in a few minutes, another operator managed to refund the bogus $5 shipping fee, but clearly she was at a call center overseas, and not directly associated with the company, and so there was only so much she could do. I want to make it clear that I have no problem spending $50 on my mother...I am happy to do it. It's the idea of spending $20 on my mother, then handing over $30 to some other company in the form of hidden fees, that bothered me. For 50 dollars, I could have gone to a brick and mortar store and gotten something really GREAT for my mom. Also, I am convinced that the itemized charges weren't shown to me until after I checked out, and without that confirmation screen, you might not even know you're submitting an order at all until it is too late and you have clicked 'continue' one too many times. In the future I will take great caution in dealing with this company. I should have trusted my gut instinct that something was off when I started checking out. I get the feeling this company knows what it's doing with its subversive price advertising and its dodgy checkout process. It is almost as though I wasn't supposed to know how much I was being charged until it was too late to make changes...conveniently enough for them. In the meantime I am just hoping the flowers reach my mother on time, and that they are pretty. Although after reading the reviews here regarding the quality of Proflower's arragements, that might be too much to ask as well! We will see.

Funny M

I'm glad I seen this. I was going to order them.

I'm like you those hidden fees are getting out of control. Just add it to the price and remove the word FEE. I will just go out and get her some myself.

At least I know what I will get. Best of luck getting them to her.

My husband ordered me red *Long stemmed* roses for V-day and I about died when they came (in a box for me to arrange) The rose buds were very small and beat up looking. They only lasted about 4 days. The grocery store has WAY NICER roses for under $15!!! I called CS and they offered us a credit for double the price of the actual flowers and I was Ok with that. Well My birthday flowers just came and I am not impressed!! I ordered this http://products.proflowers.com/flowers/Deluxe-East and got the attached :( Honestly I don't think the lilies are even going to bloom, they are limp and look freezer burnt! I also got a dozen half dead roses and some chocolate plus a set of Easter bulb plants, 2 are sprouting and we'll see on the third. even with a $89 credit I still spent $45 on something I could probably get better from a dollar store or Wal-Mart :(

Dead on delivery

I received a gift bouquet on a warm Nevada afternoon. Clearly, the flowers had been sitting in a hot car because they were cooked out of the box. I followed the instructions for reviving the flowers and they did not resurrect. I wrote an email to Proflowers telling them of the delivery and never got the courtesy of a response. I have bought from them in the past and never will again. When you send a gift, you never know how it will be when received. Proflowers gets by with this because the recipients don't want to make the sender feel bad about sending dead flowers even though it was not their intent. Buyer beware - Proflowers is NOT a good company. I can understand a bad delivery happens. Ignoring the complaint sends the message that they don't care.
