Deceptive, unethical business practice

5/10/13 Attn.: ProFlowers senior management For One Dozen Long Stemmed Rainbow Mother's Day Roses: $20.98, you heaped on a total $35.97 for delivery charges--as illustrated below! Square Glass Vase: $9.99 Standard Delivery: $12.99 Saturday Delivery $19.99 $3 Off Your Vase -$3.00 Care & Handling $2.99 That's indeed highway robbery, ProFlowers. You also failed to give credit for FOX promotion that I had inserted twice (above the sub-total, which had not yet included the triple S/H) before finalizing the order. This gross variance to ethical business standards is outrageous. It will be brought to the attention of the NY-NJ DAs, BBB, and the FTC as deceptive, and unfair business practices in the marketplace

Flowers left at hospital door

A floral arrangement was sent to my mother-in-law who is in the hospital.. I made sure to include all the needed information..name, room number, phone number, etc. to be sure the arrangement could be delivered. When I checked to be sure the flowers were delivered, I found that they were left at the front door of the hospital. To say that I am furious is an understatement. I have had flowers delivered to hospitals before, and they have always been taken to the patient's room or to the nurse's station on the floor. Proflowers's ads are a ***. Don't buy from this vendor.

Rudest most unreliable business ever!!!

THE WORST FLOWER SERVICE EVER!!!! I paid for same day delivery for my cousins new baby and they never got sent. They promised me they would be sent the next day and they never were and my cousin got discharged from hospital before they could even bring them! Then I changed the address to have them bring them to her house and they screwed it up and brought them to the hospital after she had already left. When I call the guy named TIM was such a ***!!! He said that he didn't see an address change and it must be my fault for not tell them the new address. I told I am was promised by the last lady I talked to that they changed the address. He said it wasn't his problem and the only thing he could do was deliver another day or cancel the order. I told him I was going to write a bad review and his said "have fun" REALLY?!!!!!! I am left in tears because I just wanted my cousin to get some flowers in the hospital after having her baby. Now I have 60 dollars tied up in pending refunds and transactions and no flowers were sent. What a joke..

I had the same problem. I ordered flowers from these incompetents for my cousins funeral.

I asked for a late delivery the evening before the service. I called the morning of to make sure they were there and was told the flowers are on the deliver truck!! They actually told me the florist decided to deliver the flowers the morning of. Since when does a FLORIST get to override the specifics of my PAID IN ADVANCE service?

They had the audacity to offer me a Pro Flowers credit...as if I was interested in bringing them ore business.

Bunch of incompetents. I got a credit to my credit card, but I was mortified, furious and totally hurt.

Original review May 09, 2013
I ordered the 1 dozen roses 4 19.95 when I got them there were only 11 there...the last tine I knew there were 12 in a dozen. I ordered two years in a row 4 valentines .and both my orders had 11 in them ....someone does not know what a dozen is . even though my order was only 1 short. valentines day is not a good time to be short. I will NEVER buy from them again. and they keep saying on TV a dozen. I say its Faults advertising .someone needs to sue them to make them give what they are advertising .*** cons

Never Again.

I will never be using your fraudulent company again. On Friday I was looking for a website that would allow me to send flowers to my mother for her birthday on Sunday. I wanted to ensure they were delivered on Sunday and low and behold, your website has a special, more expensive site that ensures delivery on Sunday. I paid extra for my flowers, and twice as much for my delivery in order to ensure my mother's flowers were deliver the morning of her birthday. To my unfortunate surprise, I get a message Sunday at 11am (an HOUR before my very expensive GUARANTEED delivery deadline) that your service needs an alternate day for delivery. NO APOLOGY. As if, this sort of thing were acceptable. IT IS ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE THAT YOU TOOK MY MONEY AND BUSINESS ON THE PREMISE OF A LIE. When I spoke to the customer service agent, she actually expected me to understand that many florists were not open on Sunday. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND. WHY WOULD YOU TAKE ORDERS ONLINE FOR A SPECIFIC ZIP CODE AND MAKE ME PAY EXTRA MONEY ON SOMETHING YOU KNEW YOU COULD NOT DO. Further, how is it possible that you had my order for 2 days and only called me an hour before my flowers were supposed to be DELIVERED. I actually had to speak to a supervisor to get my delivery charge refunded. YOUR COMPANY DID NOT DELIVER ON SOMETHING I PAID FOR, THEREFORE ITS REFUND IS EXPECTED AND OBLIGATORY. I am shocked you are not refunding my entire order as an apology for your horrible service. It speaks to the fact that this situation is a RULE with your company and not an exception. I will never be duped into using your service again and further, I will be posting this letter on every available review site I can find as I would not want any other innocent consumer duped.

My husbands surprise wasted!

ProFlowers - My husbands surprise wasted!
I was pleasantly surprised to receive a package from proflowers.com today at work. I didn't expect anything because my husband is not a romantic and we had planned to celebrate this weekend anyhow. So the fact that he took the time out to send me flowers today made my heart skip a beat. I opened the box and read the his message and then pulled open the green plastic sleeve and my heart sunk it was bouquet of leaves. I pulled the bouquet out of the box to get a better look and there were about 6 closed tulips hidden in the leaves. I read the description on the label which reads 'tulips red, lilies oriental', well I did receive closed tulips but no lilies. I'm upset that my husband money and effort was wasted! I haven't told him yet but I have to, he deserves a refund.

POOR QUALITY FLOWERS

I ordered flowers as a surprise for my mother-in-law. Red roses. Not only did they NEVER bloom....but they died in 3 days. THREE DAYS?! Their shipping fees are beyond ridiculous of "Holiday Charges" to order and produce a product that does not perform. I could have bought SEVERAL bouquets from a local grocery store that would have not only bloomed, but last more than 3 days. Did I file a complaint on their Web site? Absolutely!! The only response I've received is coupons offering a "GOOD PRICE" to say "Thank You" for my order. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY

What started out to be a 19.99 "special" for Mothers Day, turned into a 68.00 Charge on my Credit Card. When I called to cancel the order-(about half hour after the transaction), Felecia at ProFlowers stated that she could not cancel order. I stated that I was "double" charged for shipping, she stated 'yes' we charge standard shipping 14.99 and also since it's Mothers Day we charge 14.99 for Sunday delivery. When I stated I just don't want them, she said hold on, then came back to phone and said I'ts "Peak Season", we cannot cancel your order / nor refund your money. Yes, I'm Pissed. I REALLY HATE DISEPTIVE TACTICS. WILL TELL EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO ORDER FROM ONLINE PROFLOWERS.

DEAD...JUST DEAD FLOWERS

ProFlowers - DEAD...JUST DEAD FLOWERS
Seriously, ProFlowers? I am not even sure what kind of flowers these are! I took them out of the wrap and they flopped over! They aren't open...or in bloom. I tried putting them in water with the flower feed and they are just hanging over the vase. I am ashamed to have them on my desk...whatever they are. The only good thing about the delivery is the thought and the teddy bear...which couldn't cost more than a dollar. Be warned...you get what you pay for. I plan on contacting ProFlowers and sending the picture. Happy Valentines Day anyhow...I loved the thought.

Proflowers sucks, has hidden fees, hides the real price

Updated by user May 08, 2013

I got a very prompt email from their customer service with a shipping refund for $13, but no refund for the handling fee $3. Good enough for me, but I still won't be a customer again. Use them only in a emergency and be ready to pay out the wazzoo.

Updated by user May 07, 2013

Let me add that the hidden fees are not revealed until after you have paid with credit card or paypal. These fees are really really hidden.

Original review May 07, 2013
I got an advertisement email from proflowers for 20 percent off any purchase over $29. I ended up being charged $50 for the $29 ($26 w/disc) succulent plant I ordered.

I requested no special delivery, no special time, I was flexible, but their care and handling fee along with the $13 shipping fee was OUTRAGEOUS. Never again. *** Proflowers.com.
Next time I will call a local florist and skip the ordering online part. Proflowers is a scam that over charges on shipping and handling and the flowers are just okay.

Not even special. Stay away, don't use proflowers.com no matter how easy it looks.

Plain Classless Arrangement

ProFlowers - Plain Classless Arrangement
ProFlowers - Plain Classless Arrangement - Image 2
I placed two orders of one dozen red roses with a red vase from Proflowers and wasnt asking for much just that it looked classy like the picture. My Proflower arrangements didnt have a babybreaths and the arrangements themselves looked like they were just thrown together nothing seemed to be carefully put together. It looked like a mess when they arrived. People didnt comment much in the office it was humiliating. The pictures attached speak for themselves. I was humiliated and apologized to both individuals. Never ever again will I order from Proflowers. For $104 I expected at the very least to have a neatly put together arrangement with babybreaths not a bunch of stuff put together and sent out like food delivery.

Missed delivary date

I placed a order on May 6th and when I selected the delivery date hit the 15th. I actually wanted the 8th so I immediately called to get it fixed the girl tells me that she fixed it well she didn't fix it so I called them again after speaking to them again I told them that I wanted the delivery charge refunded because they missed the delivery. They said that I needed to speak directly to express florist and I could change the delivery to the 9Th so I did.So I spoke to a total of seven different people and getting nowhere I decided to wait another day and see if they would make the delivery. I called them on the 9th and they tell me I have to wait until 5:00 I said it will be delivered today they said yes before 5:00. Once again it's 5:00 and no delivery so I called and now they tell me its on the truck it's now 6:35. I will never do business with them. And I still want the delivery charge of $18.00 back!!!

I WOULD NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ProFlowers

I placed an order online on 5/9/2013. The online ads stated that they the flowers had free shipping. However, when I check out and was given a confirmation number my bill was $44.37. I called the 1800 number and I was informed that my order was not free and they could not give me free shopping. I informed the person on the phone that my account was low and I different know ProFlowers was going to charge me $12.99 for shopping and $4.99. I was informed that there was nothing they could do for me. They could not give me my money back or give me free shopping on the item. This was my first time using ProFlowers and I thought they would be a good place to buy flowers for someone I love. However, this was a bad experience and I would never recommend telling anyone else to use Pro Flowers.

I had almost the same experience. It had a discounted price up until you chose to pay then there was a tiny option that said you only get this price if you sign up for some offer.thank god I seen it before purchasing.

Extremely high hidden costs

I ordered a bouquet which was on sale and also had a "free" vase at what I thought was a great deal. By the time I checked out they had added so many extra handling costs that it was twice as expensive as the original bouquet's cost. I am sending an email to everyone in my address book and on Facebook warning them away from this company. I think they are running a bait and switch and frankly they are outright lying on their webpage. I sincerely hope they go out of business. I am also going to post negative reviews in as many places as possible.

Rainbow Roses

ProFlowers - Rainbow Roses
ProFlowers - Rainbow Roses - Image 2

I received "rainbow" roses today at work that my husband ordered for me. First of all, they were delivered in a box, secondly, two of the roses were broke in half and nearly half of them were wilted.

They look NOTHING like the picture advertised. I haven't told my husband yet, I don't want to hurt his feelings.

I love the fact that we took time out of his day to send me roses but I was disappointed in the quality. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM PROFLOWERS EVER!!!!

The first picture is what my husband ordered, the second picture is what I got.
