Update by user May 08, 2013
I got a very prompt email from their customer service with a shipping refund for $13, but no refund for the handling fee $3. Good enough for me, but I still won't be a customer again. Use them only in a emergency and be ready to pay out the wazzoo.

ProFlowers review in San Francisco, California: Over billed and AWFUL customer service
I placed an order with a 15$ coupon ( including an additional free vase) that was confirmed as 40.68$ and got to the confirmation page as if everything was fine. SEVERAL hours later I got an email confirmation that charged me $61.45 and listed several additional charges, including charging me for the vase which was supposed to be completely free, as well as Saturday delivery ($4.99) which was never mentioned. AND they charged me $12.99 for shipping instead of the $5.99 that was listed on the order page. I called a customer service rep who IMMEDIATELY acknowledged the mistake as if she deals with it EVERY other call and she charged me the correct amount and said I would receive an email confirming the correct amount. HOWEVER I was still sent an email confirmation for even more money this time ($64.61), and had to spend an additional 20 minutes on the phone to get this resolved. All and all I spent over 2 hours on the phone with them today and an additional 30 minutes emailing customer service. Moving forward I WILL NEVER EVER even think about using them, and you should run as far away as possible as they are a total bait and switch scam shop. TRUST ME, RUN!! As fast as you can

Hidden Fees at Proflowers
I just submitted my online order with proflowers.com and I was unpleasantly surprised. I had seen a special on Mother's Day flowers for $19.99 - quite a deal, right? So I went ahead with it. Throughout the checkout process I am seeing that shipping is $5, and a personalized greeting card is an additional $3...I raised an eyebrow but kept going. I keep clicking through the stages, expecting to eventually be shown a summary of my order before I submit...then suddenly I enter my billing information, click continue and 'Thank you! Your order has been confirmed' 'What order?' I have to wonder. It turned out I was being charged two shipping fees - one 'standard' ($13) and one 'guaranteed' ($5) - as well as a $3 fee for "Care & Handling." This is in addition to the card fee, and all applicable taxes. My total order came to over $48. (Another reviewer made a great point about the redundancy of a 'Care & Handling' fee. Doesn't care and handling essentially mean the packers and delivery people doing their jobs responsibly? Why should there be a fee attached to that? When I go to McDonald's do I have to pay additional fees to keep my server from dropping my fries on the floor? The whole idea is strange.) I got a customer service rep on the phone within seconds of reaching the Thank You page. I asked the operator to cancel my order so I could start over but she said it wasn't possible, and that my order was already processed (I had just clicked 'okay' 45 seconds earlier!). When I tried again in a few minutes, another operator managed to refund the bogus $5 shipping fee, but clearly she was at a call center overseas, and not directly associated with the company, and so there was only so much she could do. I want to make it clear that I have no problem spending $50 on my mother...I am happy to do it. It's the idea of spending $20 on my mother, then handing over $30 to some other company in the form of hidden fees, that bothered me. For 50 dollars, I could have gone to a brick and mortar store and gotten something really GREAT for my mom. Also, I am convinced that the itemized charges weren't shown to me until after I checked out, and without that confirmation screen, you might not even know you're submitting an order at all until it is too late and you have clicked 'continue' one too many times. In the future I will take great caution in dealing with this company. I should have trusted my gut instinct that something was off when I started checking out. I get the feeling this company knows what it's doing with its subversive price advertising and its dodgy checkout process. It is almost as though I wasn't supposed to know how much I was being charged until it was too late to make changes...conveniently enough for them. In the meantime I am just hoping the flowers reach my mother on time, and that they are pretty. Although after reading the reviews here regarding the quality of Proflower's arragements, that might be too much to ask as well! We will see.

ProFlowers review: HIDDEN FEES!
These *** offer a reasonable deal on flowers, but at the very last screen, just before you "click to order", in very small print, they will add a bunch of fees that do not get mentioned anywhere else. I understand if they want to charge a delivery fee, but if they had any decency at all, they would say so up front. They don't, and they didn't. Instead, at the very last instant, they slipped in $16 worth of BS fees, under the radar. I will NEVER do business with this ripoff company again. You have been warned. Spend your money at a business that deserves it. STAY FAR AWAY FROM PROFLOWERS.

ProFlowers review in Houston, Texas: Faulty Technology and Customer Service
I ordered two different orders, one in April, one in May. They used the same order # for both! So the May delivery was not delivered because it looked like the same one from April, and they didn't bother to call me about it until a week after the funeral they were suppose to be delivered to!! On top of that, when I called after receiving an automated voice mail stating the order # ___ was set to be delivered on April ____ and to call customer service, the *** lady couldn't understand ME (she said I had a funny accent and to articulate, while she on the hand spoke broken English) and she couldn't even figure out why the order numbers were duplicated, why nobody informed me sooner of the mix up, and how to even refund me. It turns out while on the phone with her, I figured out what had happened and logged online to find out the May delivery had been taken off of hold for an invalid delivery date and re-scheduled to be delivered in three weeks. Talk about shady! I wonder when she would have told me about this, but instead cancelled the order and because the new delivery date was for later, got an automatic refund for cancelling. This whole ordeal has caused a huge embarrassment on my part because it made me look like an uncaring friend to the deceased's family. Do not use them!! I now would rather make my own spread and delivered it than go through their services again.

ProFlowers review: This is a scam
Be aware that this company offers you a low price but adds a number of fees at the very last stage of your order (after acquiring all your credit card info etc.). The final price (which in my case was nearly twice of the announced price) was almost invisible and placed in an aria of their web site where it could easily be overlooked (what actually happened during my ordering process). Since there was no option to cancel the order - I had to *** into it. This is not fair business but rather a ripoff. Don't do any business with this company!

ProFlowers review in Ocala, Florida: BE CAREFUL OF HIDDEN FEES!
I went forth with an $89 purchase of a bouquet of flowers. It doesn't include the vase, so you add on another $15 for that. Then you are to select a delivery date on the calendar, which read "standard delivery" and on the next line it said "+ $5.00). So I'm thinking you add $5.00 for standard delivery. I had a coupon code for %20 off, so my subtotal is $83.97. Sweet! However, AFTER you put in your credit card information and just BEFORE you hit "Click to confirm purchase" you will note all the fees they tried to hide previously. The standard shipping turned out to be $18, plus the extra $5 ($23 shipping? Really??) plus tax and handling fees. My $84 flowers turned into $116 in the blink of an eye. VERY dishonest, ProFlowers.com. Next time I will be sending my grandmother flowers from the local florist, and I will tell them to simply copy the bouquet I would have chosen from the proflowers website.

ProFlowers review in Minneapolis, Minnesota: Peggy dinesen
I heard an ad on radio and tv about $19.99 flowers, tried 3 times to order and they ended up being $37+. Never again, cannot stand dishonesty! I bought a gift card from a local store! They can't be in biss for long! Rest in peace! What ever happened to integrity and honesty? Word of mouth is the greatest ad in the world, and I expect that I will tell at least a thousand people about this, then it turns into an unspades cat. Good luck! I will make sure that no one I know will ever do biss with this company!

ProFlowers.com Ripoff
I placed an order for flowers costing $19.99 and it turns out to be over $50?? I was told that I would get a vase for $6.99 and they charge me $12.99 - $3.00?? and since when do you have to pay extra for a vase? other sites are much better and don't try to hide their prices in the small print, they tell you up front how much you flowers will cost. This is a ridiculous site and its a rip off!! I would not waste you time ordering through ProFlowers.com you money is better spent somewhere else.

ProFlowers review in Deer Park, New York: Card sentiment was wrong
The sentiment on the card was not what was requested on a funeral arrangement card which and it did not make sense Also the words were cut off so half of a word was on one line and rest of the word on the next line including someones name. It was humiliating to read the card and seem *** and insensitive. It was a one day event so there was no fixing it I just had to remove the card. They acknowledged the mistake and the response was to refund me $10 or give it to me in credit towards something else. I would never use the service again
